Helping a friend repair a fence, and the handle of my axe broke, I cut off the broken part to fix it, but the handle became too short, which led to its leverage decreased, so I made a new one using a piece of African black wood remnant. By the time I finished it, I found the axe head didn't match the handle, so I had to polish, refine, and sharpen it anew.
It seems like the axe could be ready to move away from frontline labor... 😅😅

Made a shiny handle from steel and brass on my wood lathe. I bought carbide inserts and put them into my holders, so I could cut metal at home, 😅😅😅😅 some parts were made in my class.

This wood is African black wood, very hard. The metal is brass, like you said, the brass give this axe more weight and tough. Thank you so much, David ,😀😀😀😀😀
